Scratching your head for gift inspiration for your clients and staff this Christmas? We've compiled a list of gift ideas to save you time and stress!

Just remember, be careful when selecting a gift that you don't offend the recipient. Some gifts have two meanings: so while you thought the aftershave was a great idea, your client might get the impression that you don't think he smells that great!

Traditional gift ideas
-- Wine
-- Christmas hamper (there are lots of suppliers available, just type Christmas hamper into Google...or you can make your own if you have time. For a healthy option, try a fruit hamper)
-- Movie tickets
-- Calendar
-- Christmas decoration
-- Tea and/or tea set
-- Books - does your client enjoy gardening or cooking?
-- Golf pack
-- BBQ accessories
Christmas gift-- Stationery

A bit different
-- Bar accessories
-- Beach towel
-- Cooler bag or picnic set
-- Beach survival kit
-- Magazine subscription
-- Restaurant voucher
-- Australian native plant (drought tolerant!) or small cactus for the office
-- Great eating/entertainment/bar cards - usually available from bookshops
-- Deck chair

Personalise your gifts
If you have lots of gifts to buy, you might want to consider ordering some promotional merchandise with you business logo included (this may include seasonal items like wine). If you order more than you need, you can use it in years to come. There are many providers available - type Christmas corporate gifts into Google. Be warned that it may take a few weeks for delivery - so if you've missed out for this year, keep it in mind for next year.

Some corporate ideas include:

-- USB flash drive
-- USB coffee warmer
-- Personalised sticky notes

Show off your products
Christmas is the perfect time to send samples of your products if they're suitable to be adapted for Christmas. For example, if you're a designer or printer, send your clients a range of Christmas gift tags or cards with your compliments. Not only do they show off your work to your client, but they're practical - so whoever receives the gift will also see your work!

Donate a gift to charity
Making a donation is a meaningful way to support a cause or help people in need while acknowledging your client's support over the past 12 months.

Here are some options:

-- The Red Cross invites you to give a Warm Fuzzy
-- Rainforest Rescue: Buy a gift card to plant a rainforest or buy a Daintree Buyback voucher
-- Oxfam unwrapped: Choose from a range of gifts and receive a card to send to your client or employee
-- Make-a-Wish Foundation: Bring some Christmas joy to seriously ill Australian children

And there are many more alternatives out there...
